The pump is a great idea, but sometimes doesn’t work very well.

Just keep the nozzle clean, oil left in spout will dry up, gel, then crystalize, build up, restrict nozzle and cause oil to squirt out at an angle.
They restricted opening will cause the oil to shoot out under pressure.
